Kitty Kazz Kitten Rescue adoption policy

KITTY KAZZ have taken it upon us to ensure that each cat/kitten that finds its way through our doors finds a loving FURREVER home. We continue to do follow-ups throughout your new family member’s life as they have already become part of our family, and we value our relationships with not only them, but with you too. Kitty Kazz require a walk-around WhatsApp video of your home and garden before approving any adoption. We reserve the right to visit on any occasion to check in with our adopted-out cats. If we find the cat or kitten is not in a high standard of care, we are obligated to remove the cat/kittens as per this signed contract. 

We ensure that all cat/kittens are up to date with their vaccinations prior to leaving our premises. Follow-up vaccinations are VITAL in kittens. KITTY KAZZ will send out reminders for the necessary dates when due. WE TRUST THE FAMILIES TO MAKE SURE THE BOOSTER FOLLOW-UP VACCINATIONS ARE DONE to ensure your cats/kittens are protected from life threatening viruses. We test all cats/kittens for FIV/FELV and ensure that their deworming and tick and flea treatment is up to date. Kitty Kazz insist on MICRO-CHIPPING, which is done on site at shelter. You will receive a VACCINATION record on day of collection which must be taken to every vet visit you attend with your cat/kitten. 

TAKING HOME AN UN-NEUTERED/UN-SPAYED KITTEN YOUNGER THAN 4 MONTHS 

We take the sterilization of your kittens seriously. Kitty Kazz will contact families when their kittens are due to book a sterilization date with one of our vets. Sterilization at our VET will cost R500 payable before collection of the kitty after the procedure. Should you prefer to use your own vet, you will be liable for the full cost. Kitty Kazz require PROOF of sterilization in order for us to stop sending reminders. We have several VET DAYS for sterilizing your kitten/kittens; we require that your kitten/kittens are either taken by yourselves to the venue or dropped off at Kitty Kazz the day before. Collection and delivery can be arranged at a discussed rate according to distance. If sterilization is not done by the adopter family, we retain the right to collect your kitten until he/she is sterilized, then you may collect your kitten from Kitty Kazz.
